Friendship Blooms
Two little flowers were planted one day,
In a beautiful garden somewhere far away.
They fast became friends and promised never to
part,
They entwined their stems and touched each
other’s heart.
Years passed by and the flowers grew,
They shared joys, tears and the wisdom they knew.
Then one day the winds of change blew by
And forced one flower to take to the sky.
The flower cried out, “Don’t leave me my friend!”
And the other one vowed “We’ll be together
again!”
Years came and went and the flowers yet grew
Changing as the weather and earth made them to.
The once young flowers, now mature and refined
Had bloomed through the years and changed over
time.
Their once fragile petals had grown strong with
the years.
Beaten down by some seasons, they gained strength
through their tears
Soon the winds of change will blow by them again,
And take them away, perhaps back to their friend?
I wonder if they will know each other, despite
the changes time wrought.
Will they feel the same joy after finding the friend
they sought?
Or will they think the other so different now?
Knowing the friendship is there, but not the same
somehow.
No matter the changes they see in their friend,
The bond they first formed will remain ‘till the
end.
